Here are some very interesting pictures from my trip home. We went to Wales, then Shropshire, then London.

Did anyone notice that i've been away? No, of course not, but that doesn't matter really. I have been on holiday for two weeks, and took the opportunity to visit my friends and family back in Wales. It felt strange to return home after such a long time, for I haven't been back since I left the UK for California eighteen months ago. I had forgotten just how green everything is, and small, and expensive, too. (I wonder if the American people would have resignedly accepted a rise in fuel prices to $9 a gallon, as is the case in in Britain. With those huge SUV's that do 5 mpg, I very much doubt it!)

Unfortunately i've managed to import a British cold back into the States, so i'm running at 30% brain power. Can someone pass the tissues?

i noticed that you were away. ;)

ooo, got to mention this:

I flew into JFK airport last weekend, and whilst waiting in the serpentine Customs line, found myself standing next to Martin (Tim from "The Office") Freeman. I guess he was flying in to promote the new Hitchhiker's Guide film, released in the next month or so. Although I wanted to say hello, it would have been mean to unmask him before a plane-load of Brits, particularly when he was trying so hard to make himself inconspicuous. Next time I bump into him though, he'll owe me an ice-cream.
